Looking for information on absentee & mail-in ballots for the Fall River preliminary election? You have come to the right place.

According to Chairman & Director Chief of Elections Ryan Lyons, absentee & mail-in ballots for the 2023 preliminary election are in the process of being mailed to all applicants.

Voters interested in receiving a mail-in ballot for the preliminary election must submit a signed application to the Elections Office by 5:00 p.m. on September 12th.

Lyons asks that anyone interested in voting by mail to please submit their applications as soon as possible. Ample time is needed to process and prepare the ballot for mailing. Vote-by-Mail applications can be downloaded from the Board of Elections website, the website of Secretary Galvin (under Elections), or you can request that one be mailed to you by calling my office at 508-324-2630.

Voters are reminded to seal their ballots in the EV7 ballot envelope. In addition, the affidavit must be signed by the voter otherwise the law requires that it be rejected as defective. Included in your package is a postage paid and pre-addressed envelope.

For your convenience, mail-in ballots may be returned via the mail, directly at the Elections Office, or in our new Ballot Drop Box which is permanently mounted outside of the Third Street entrance and will remain open 24 hours a day during the election season. Voters cannot return their mail-in ballots directly to the polls on Election Day.

Go to your voting station IN PERSON. If you do mail in your ballot- follow the tracking number. You cannot trust the state no longer.
