Here is an idea of what you can expect when the Nite Owl in Fall River opens for business

After it was announced in February that an iconic Fall River landmark will soon have new life, today we are getting a better idea of what you can expect.

Renovations are underway at the former Nite Owl Restaurant on the corner of Eastern Avenue and Pleasant Street.

Brian Levesque has been at the Nite Owl daily with his father remodeling the property. Electricity has been installed and major progress has been made including a current refurbishing of the famous owl.

On Friday, it was announced that the eatery will be branded as Nite Owl Artisan Pizza & Bakery Co. featuring wood-fired sourdough pizza, specialty sandwiches, and handcrafted ravioli made with ingredients sourced from local businesses.

The offerings are being described as “food inspired by tradition, community, and creativity. Built with respect for the past — and with a vision for the future.”

Menu reveals and first looks at the food will be taking place soon.

It was announced in February that due to logistics, the spot will be takeout only.

The diner, which has been around since the 50s, includes a basement with a small non ADA compliant bathroom.

The parking lot is also part of the property.

While it was initially stated that if all goes according to plan, the Nite Owl will open in May of this year, it is clear that ownership is getting closer to opening.
