A Massachusetts mother has made her children pretty happy after they found out how she is spending her lottery winnings.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Lisa Smith of Northbridge has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 instant ticket game.
Smith opted to receive her prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She said that she plans to use her winnings to buy a new car and take her two kids to Disney World.
She purchased her winning ticket at Cumberland Farms, 2222 Providence Rd. in Northbridge. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
