Heavy rain, possible t-storm and strong winds expected as Wind Advisory issued for southern New England
Strong winds and heavy rain are expected to make some messy conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, a Wind Advisory for portions of northern Connecticut, central, eastern, northeastern, southeastern and western Massachusetts and northern and southern Rhode Island has been issued from 11 PM this evening to 8 PM Monday.
Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are expected.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
The NWS warns to use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle and to secure outdoor objects.
Widespread showers are expected this afternoon & evening, with embedded heavier downpours yielding rainfall totals of 0.50 to 1.25 inches.
A thunderstorms is also possible after 3pm. Patchy dense fog is expected after 1pm.
