Hazardous Weather Outlook issued for entire area as damaging storms possible
A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued across the area as damaging weather is possible on Friday.
According to the National Weather Service, the Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern Connecticut, all of Massachusetts east of Berkshire County, and Rhode Island.
Severe thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and evening with the highest risk across interior Massachusetts and northern Connecticut.
The greatest time of concern is between 3:00 and 10:00 p.m.
The biggest concern with the potential severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening will be damaging straight line wind gusts with a secondary concern for hail.
