Harry Potter, Lizzie Borden, The Toe Jam Puppet Band, games and more are part of a packed Fall River Library schedule this week

This week at the Fall River Public Library, will feature games, crafts, storytimes, Harry Potter, Lizzie Borden and more!

On Monday, August 1, the library will celebrate Harry Potter’s Birthday with magical crafts, snacks, a costume contest, and raffle at 11 am. Call the Children’s Room to check if there is room in this event: 508-324-2700, ext. 4.

On Tuesday, August 2 at 11 am, the library hosts a special Bubble Storytime. The event will take place under the story tent for stories and fun with bubbles! Recommended for ages 3 and up.

Also on Tuesday, August 2 at 6 pm, there will be a Teen Game Night for ages 12-18.

On Wednesday, August 3, the library offers a free Covid Vaccine Clinic from 3-7 pm. Test kits are also available for free pickup in the library.

Also on Wednesday, August 3, the library will host their weekly teen Magic: the Gathering meetup at 5 pm.

At 6 pm on Wednesday, August 3, the Friends of the Fall River Public Library presents a book talk with William D. Spencer, author of the new book Lizzie Borden Uncut: a Casebook of Theories. This talk is free and open to all. Registration not required.

On Thursday, August 4, kids are invited to play BEAM, the interactive life-size game system, in the Meeting Room from 4-5 pm.

Also on Thursday, August 4, the whole family is invited to Family Night on the front lawn from 5:30-7 pm. The Toe Jam Puppet Band will perform.

On Friday, August 5, the library will present an Animal Diversity Show at 11 am with the Lloyd Center for Environmental Studies.

Also on Friday, August 5, Board Games for teens from 1-2 pm.
