Fall River has many people who are struggling. That has never stopped city residents though from being there for those in need. Here is another example of folks from the Scholarship City coming to the aid of those who could use a little bit of help.

The Fall River Public Library’s “Yarn Crafting for a Cause” group has been hard at work, and here are the beautiful (and warm) results!

All of these winter hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, socks, and other hand-made garments will be donated to local homeless shelters.

The yarn crafters met with Homeless Outreach Coordinator Nichole Fontaine this week to donate several boxes of knitted garments. Great job, ladies!

Interested in being part of this community service group? They meet weekly on Thursday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. at the Fall River Public Library at 104 North Main Street. Everyone who likes to knit, and crochet is welcome!
