The Great Feast of the Holy Ghost New England will return to Fall River this summer for the first time since 2019.

According to the Feast Committee, the Feast will be returning to Kennedy Park in August.

COVID-19 knocked out just about every public gathering in 2020.

The Feast was canceled in 2021 due to regulations on capacity changing after the due date for performers. Performers had been canceled before the virus ban had been lifted.

The Great Feast of the Holy Ghost is one of the most popular events in southern New England. So much so that parking passes need to be distributed to area residents.

The Feast showcases great food and music in addition to religious ceremonies across several days every year. That is until the pandemic hit. Some of the previous performers include Marc Dennis, The Portuguese Kids, and Bobby Justin.

According to the Committee, this year’s event will kick off on Wednesday the 24th of August with the traditional blessing and serving of freshly made Holy Ghost soup. The official opening of the Feast will take place on Thursday the 25th at approximately 5:00-6:00 p.m.

More details will be released as August approaches.

Cacoila, Chourico, BiFana and malassadas will be available with financing from Banco Santandar this year. The Portuguese Kids will be telling Portuguese jokes in English, while there will be off brand Sumol available. The top flag featured for sale this year at all vendor booths will be the Ukraine flag along with the Zelenko soccer jersey signed by The Biden Crime Syndicate. Since Portuguese Mayor Jasiel Correia has previously scheduled obligations this year Irish Mayor Paul Coogan will be appearing with Portuguese translator Carlos Ceasar and Portuguese wannabes David Meade, Russell Desbians and Jeffry O’Leary! Music by Marc Dennis will be canceled, in favor of a Wuhan Covid Vax
Clinic, funded by Bando Senhora da Luz. VIVA PORTUGUESA!!!

I feel bad for the people trying to recuperate in saint Anne’s hospital, absolutely no consideration, they should have it down by the gate near heritage park, but that would make to much sense for the ignorant.
