Good Samaritan, Raynham responders, help rescue five-week-old kitten with the cutest new name
A combined effort from multiple entities helped rescue an animal this weekend.
According to Raynham Animal Control, a Good Samaritan called the Raynham Police Department early Sunday morning to report a kitten in a storm drain.
After an extensive effort, it was determined that responders would need to wait until day light.
Food and shelter were left for the kitten.
This morning, the Raynham Fire Department went back and climbed into the drain.
“Storm” is a five-week-old kitten who is resting comfortably and doing well, according to Animal Control. He will be available for adoption in a few weeks.

Love this story, but it is sad that in today’s world we feel more empathy for animals than humans.
