Good Samaritan goes to new heights to save Fall River cat
A good deed was accomplished late Tuesday night and it didn’t go unnoticed.
A baby kitten was in serious trouble after being stuck in a huge tree for three days at 143 Fourth Street. The cat got out and quickly climbed atop the tree. Fall River Police and Animal Control were not equipped to help capture the cat. That is where a bystander came to help.
Just before midnight Tuesday night, Good Samaritan Josh DeOliveira, who was equipped and had the background to climb the three story tree, took it upon himself to climb way up the tall tree to save the cat with some help from some lighting. “I saw someone in need and thought my skills would come in handy.” Indeed they did. Despite having work at 4 a.m., he successfully came down with the pet and made the owner’s day. Great job Josh!
