Friends and family are still coming to grips with the sudden loss of a Fall River convenience store owner.

54-year-old Lal Kishor Mahaseth was found on the floor Monday evening behind the counter that he spent hours and hours at greeting customers.

Friends and family spent the day Tuesday trying to come to terms with what transpired.

Mahaseth was described as a great husband and father who was a kind and humble person. Friends say he was a man who wouldn’t bother anyone and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

According to friends, Mahaseth also owned the convenience store on the corner of Locust Street and Oak Grove Avenue.

The Stop N Save convenience store at 201 Rock Street had been robbed more than once in the past, according to customers.

Mahaseth leaves behind a wife, two sons, and a daughter.

A man sacrificing his days at his store in the name of his family. Makes you wonder at the end of the day what the hell we are all doing. Senseless death for someone who didn’t deserve to die. There are cold-blooded sociopaths preying on the trusting nature of those who are good. Anyone who recognizes this garbage shouldn’t hesitate to turn him in, you could be his next victim.

Hopefully he will show his gun to the police and they can end this the way it should be ended.
