Freetown cemetery hit by vandals for second time in two months
FREETOWN, MA — Vandals targeted a Freetown cemetery for the second time within the past two months.
According to Freetown Police, the latest vandalism at the White Cemetery on Keene Road was discovered Friday morning, according to caretaker John Ashley. Investigating officers identified 34 headstones and memorial markers that were defaced with red spray paint.
One of the headstones had a swastika painted on it, while others had messages like “Catch me if you can” and “I will be back.”
In March, dozens of gravestones were vandalized including Devin Carrier’s bench.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Freetown Detective Shane Kelley at 508-763-4017.
