Free fun, backpacks and supplies at Fall River “Back to School” event.

The Fall River Public Schools Parent and Community Engagement Center will be hosting a “Back to School” event.

The citywide field day will be taking place August 21 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Spencer Borden Elementary School located at 1400 President Avenue.

According to Shannon Dunbar from the Fall River Public Schools early childhood department, all children will get a free backpack with essential supplies to be ready for the school year and can participate in a variety of activities.

Some of the activities include:

Face painting
Obstacle Course Races
Kindness Rocks Painting
Touch a truck with the FRFD and the FRPD
Home Depot Kids Workshop
Wiggle Kids
Special appearance by Super Attender ( a superhero who will remind children the importance of attendance)

Music will also be featured at the event.

All children must be accompanied by a family adult.
