Four injured in I-195 rollover crash in Swansea
Multiple people have been injured in a serious crash Sunday on I-195.
According to Swansea Fire, Swansea and Somerset Fire Department’s received simultaneous reports of a rollover accident on I-195 West around 11:30 a.m. this morning.
Both departments responded to the accident, which was just over the town boundary in Swansea.
Somerset and Swansea firefighters worked together to free two adults and two children from the heavily damaged vehicle. According to responders, extrication of the driver was difficult due to heavy leg entrapment and impingement of a large section of guard rail into the passenger compartment.
Swansea and Somerset ambulances transported a total of four patients to Providence hospitals.
