FALL RIVER – The Forever Paws pet of the week is a special companion that may be for you if you are looking to adopt.

Athena is a seven-year-old shepherd mix.

Despite her age, Athena is a spitfire of sassy energy and hasn’t let anything slow her down. She’s great with other dogs but Forever Paws would not place her with cats or children under the age of twelve. As dignified and well-behaved as she usually is, there’s something deep and wild about Athena, like she’s more in tune with her ancestors than other dogs are. There’s an intelligence in her eyes that you would have to see in person to understand.

She can be playful and silly with the best of them and plush toys are her FAVORITE. Her loyalty is unwavering and once she chooses you, you are her PERSON and she will give you her entire heart and soul.
