Five from Fall River arrested on drug trafficking charges, including 12-year-old
Five Fall River residents have been arrested on drug trafficking and other charges.
According to Captain Jay Huard, on April 14, members of the Fall River Police Department Gang Unit and Emergency Services Unit (ESU) served a search warrant on Fifth Street. The address had been targeted as a location where gang related individuals and associates have been congregating.
Upon approach to the residence, Officers observed several men flee the building and run away in different directions from the multi-family dwelling. Officers were able to locate five of the men and secure them in the rear yard along the path that the group of individuals reportedly took.
Investigators located a large clear plastic bag of suspected Fentanyl on the top portion of a chain link fence that borders the property. Huard stated that due to its location and positioning, it appeared that it was thrown and got stuck on the top support bar and the chain link portion of the fence.
