A combination of art and healthy food under one event is coming to Fall River.

The Fall River Farmers and Artisans Market (affectionately called the “Fall River FAM”), is a new, outdoor open-air market that will be taking place every other Sunday, beginning on July 11th and running through October 17th at Old Second Street downtown.

The market will run from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will feature many of the areas best local artisans selling their handmade goods. Local farmers will also be selling produce and food items (many of which will accept SNAP and HIP benefits). Vintage sellers, local food trucks/restaurants/bakeries and local musicians will also be featured.

Market Manager Stephanie Enloe, who also runs the Craftyish Shop, is excited about what is to come.

“We hope to feature artists each week doing live art on the spot for patrons to watch while enjoying the market and the delicious food. Local musical acts will entertain us and there will also be several community organizations who will be set up at the market, such as the Department of Children and Families with a giant Connect Four Game and Balanced Learning Center with engaging activities for children. A local Reiki practitioner will be at the market every week and many other wonderful vendors who will be joining us throughout the season.”

The FAM is sponsored by One Southcoast Chamber, Craftyish Shop, Viva Fall River, The Fall River Arts and Culture Coalition (FRACC) and The City of Fall River.

The market is still accepting vendor applications. You can reach out to Enloe, by email at stephferreira@live.com or by stopping into Craftyish Shop at 9 North Main in Fall River.
