Fire seriously damages multi-family Fall River home
A fire ripped through a Fall River home Monday afternoon causing extensive damage.
A call came into dispatch just before 3:10 p.m. for a couch on fire at 21 Marchand Street.
Upon arrival, crews found fire and smoke showing from the first and second floor of the multi-family residence.
Two occupants were in the home at the time of the fully involved two-alarm blaze, one of which was transported to the hospital.
Interior stairs in the home became compromised at the time of the fire.
Traffic was blocked off at McGowen and Eastern Avenue while firefighters battled the flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
