Fire Department extinguishes Tuesday morning fire in Fall River
Fall River firefighters extinguished an early morning fire on Tuesday.
A call came in shortly after 2:30 a.m. for a structure fire at 5062 North Main Street.
According to Fall River Fire Prevention, upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in the lower level/basement of the home that extended into the ceiling/flooring of the above level.
The fire was extinguished just after 3:00 a.m. and crews remained on scene until 4:15 a.m. to perform overhaul and extension.
The cause of the fire was determined to be a cooking mishap and damage was estimated at $50,000.
No injuries were reported.
