Farmer’s Almanac predicting “whopper” of winter storm as winter predictions released
The Farmer’s Almanac has issued their 2021-2022 winter forecast. In addition to seeing snow, the weather is predicted to change from month to month.
If you are not a fan of the white stuff, don’t fret too much.
“There will be snow, but probably not as much as a snow-sport enthusiasts might dream of. On average, we’ll see near-normal amounts of the white stuff from coast to coast.”
In January, FA says that temperatures will start out mild, but will turn colder. The month is also expected to be stormy.
February is supposed to be a quieter month, however, we could be seeing a massive storm.
“We’re forecasting a “winter whopper” for parts of the Northeast and Ohio Valley toward the end of February. Another “atmospheric hemorrhage” from the Pacific could lash most of the far West, with everything from strong winds to heavy rains and snow.”
The Almanac is also predicting a storm in March that will bring bouts of heavy snow, rain, or a wintry mix.
“From start to finish, the month will be full of stretches of uneventful weather, but when it turns stormy, the precipitation will come in big doses.”
Temperatures are expected to be near-normal in the northeast.
“Winter temperatures are expected to range from near- to somewhat-below normal across the eastern-third of the nation.
