A family wants to give a Fall River girl the birthday of her life, but they need some help from you.

12-year-old Aubrey Beck was diagnosed with Huntington disease just this past August.

Huntington disease is a progressive brain disorder that causes uncontrolled movements, emotional problems, and loss of thinking ability. Juvenile Huntington disease tends to progress more quickly. It is a terminal disease that has no cure. Aubrey’s father also has the disorder.

Aubrey’s recent diagnosis led to her grandmother Deborah taking to social media to help make Aubrey’s birthday special.

“I’m asking begging…pleading for everyone to help me with this secret. Please send Aubrey a birthday card for her 13th birthday. I want this to be her best birthday ever. I pray she gets hundreds of cards. Please pass this on or share. Ask everyone you know please. Thank you. I will forever be grateful.”

Aubrey’s mother Stephanie followed with her own post hoping to get people’s attention to help.

“My beautiful daughter Aubrey will be 13 on the 16th of October. She was diagnosed recently with Juvenile Huntington disease. HD is a disease that affects the neurological system and is terminal. We are trying to get her as many cards as we can for her birthday. We hope a couple hundred at least. We are asking PLEASE pass this on to others on your FB and to anyone you know. PLEASE help make my daughter’s birthday special by getting tons of cards from all over. Thank you so much.”

We contacted Stephanie to find out what Aubrey likes.

“She loves playing her Nintendo Switch and she loves anime. Her favorite is “My Hero Academia” and her favorite character is Todoroki.”

If you would like to send Aubrey a card, her address is:
