Families looking for some fun things to do with kids during school vacation week need look no farther than the Fall River Public Library on 104 North Main Street. A full week of crafts, storytimes, and a live animal show awaits young visitors.

Starting off the week’s activities will be a Storytime Sing-Along on Tuesday, February 20 at 10:30 a.m. Singer/ guitarist Anne Marie Medeiros will lead her audience in singing such popular tunes as “On Top of Spaghetti” and “The Unicorn Song.” Children can join in with the popular “Down by the Bay” while watching a host of shadow puppets dance to the tune.

On Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. children can create a Snowy Owl Craft from cardboard tubing. These free-standing sculptures will be decorated with feathers, craft foam, and colored markers and will make a great decoration for any owl-lover’s room.

On Wednesday, February 21 at 11 a.m., Bob Schenck of Animal Instincts Aquarium and Pets Shop presents Wild Winter! Live Animal Show with an assortment of his furry, feathery and scaly friends. Parents are encouraged to arrive on time or early for this event, as space is limited.

Whether you are enjoying the wintry white of February or looking forward to the colors of spring, the library has a Bracelet Craft awaiting you on Thursday, February 22 at 11 a.m. Choose to make a frosty- blue snowflake bracelet to adorn your wrist complete with smiling snowmen and frosty snowflakes, or a bracelet decked out with flowers and ladybugs to welcome in the spring. This craft contains small parts and is recommended for children ages 5 and up.

The ever popular Storybook Bingo will take place Friday, February 23 at 11 a.m. Children will play the familiar game of BINGO with a storybook character twist featuring such popular characters as Curious George, the Cat In the Hat, SpongeBob SquarePants and others. Children will have the opportunity to win books and other great prizes.
