CES MMA returned to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT with a special world championship doubleheader Friday night.

UFC and PFL veteran Yorgan DeCastro (10-5) battled Kevin “King Kevi” Sears (9-8) for the vacant CES MMA Heavyweight World title. “The Mad Titan,” a Cape Verdean native fighting out of Fall River, MA, won by first round KO/TKO leaving him undefeated in 7 appearances with CES MMA. The 36-year-old had previously fought in February, where he dominated Spencer Manovich in a grappling match at CES MMA 76.

Co-headlining the card was 14-time UFC veteran Charles “Boston Strong” Rosa (17-8), who won by submission in round 1 against Josh “Hook On” Harvey (8-3-1) to take home the vacant CES MMA Lightweight Championship.

Rosa is a perfect 7-0 with CES MMA and was 2-0 in 2023. The fighting pride of Peabody, MA was previously in the CES MMA cage in October, when he completely dominated and submitted Jonathan “The Junkyard Dog” Gary with a guillotine choke in 2 rounds.

No word yet on when DeCastro will defend his title.
