Fall River woman dead in Sunday morning head-on crash that killed two
Tragedy struck this weekend as a Sunday morning crash took the life of a Fall River woman.
According to Lt. Anthony Castaldo of the Ossipee, New Hampshire Police Department, at approximately 2:09 a.m., Ossipee Police were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident on Route 16 in the area of 2155 Route 16, a newly paved area of the road.
The caller advised he did not witness the accident and that he came across the accident while traveling to work.
Castaldo stated that the accident was a two-car head-on collision between a 2018 Acura SE TLX which crossed the center line and struck a 2017 Dodge Caravan. The 53-year-old female driver of the Acura, Donna Camara of Fall River, was pronounced dead on scene. The 74-year-old male driver of the Dodge Caravan from New Hampshire was transported to Huggins Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The State Police C.A.R. team responded to the scene to conduct accident reconstruction. Route 16 was closed until approximately 6:00 a.m.
The contributing factors of this accident are still under investigation.
Ossipee Police were assisted by Wakefield Police and New Hampshire State Police.
