A woman is facing several charges after reportedly leaving the scene of an accident involving multiple cars where several were injured.

According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 9:07 p.m., Officers responded to the area of Rodman Street and Grinnell Street for a motor vehicle collision with possible ejection. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the occupants of one of the vehicles were going to be transported to an area hospital after being ejected from their vehicle. They also learned that three vehicles were involved in the accident.

Pereira stated that it appears as though the occupants of an Acura and a Toyota were engaged in an argument in the area of Plymouth Avenue and Rodman Street. The argument continued onto Rodman Street as the Acura began to follow the Toyota. As they approached the Warren Street intersection, a Ford attempted to cross the intersection and was struck by the Acura which failed to stop at the posted stop sign. Following this collision, the Acura continued to pursue the Toyota until the operator lost control and struck a utility pole. The force of this collision caused the operator of the Acura to be ejected from the vehicle.

The occupants of both the Acura and the Toyota, 6 in total, were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The operator of the Acura, a 37-year-old, Fall River woman will be charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop (stop sign), marked lanes violation, and leaving the scene of an accident-causing property damage.
