Fall River woman arrested twice in less then 5 days on drug distribution charges
Darlene Carreiro, 30, of 589 Osborn St was arrested for the 2nd time in less then a week for drug distribution. This is her 2nd violation of probation in less then 5 days.
This time she is charged with distributing Class A, conspiracy to violate the drug laws.
On Monday, 1,000 bags of heroin, pills, and cash were recovered after Fall River police stopped a vehicle Carreiro was driving near the intersection of Pleasant St and Eastern Ave.
Stephen A. Almeida, 38, of 631 Detroit St. who was a passenger in her vehicle, was arrested on the same charges.
On Thursday a search by Fall River police recovered several bundles of heroin, cash, and pills. She was charged with possession to distribute a Class A drug and released on personal recognizance.
