Fall River woman arrested on multiple charges after allegedly stabbing another woman in the face

A Fall River woman has been arrested on multiple charges after a stabbing on Monday.

According to Lt. Gregory Wiley, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Fall River Police responded to the area of 1833 South Main Street for a report of a female who had sustained a stab wound to her face.

Upon arrival, the female victim informed the officer’s that she and another man were standing outside of 1833 South Main Street when a female, known to them as 37-year-old Angelia Manning, approached them and struck the female victim in the face, causing a laceration under her left eye. Manning then attempted to strike the male, but was unsuccessful. The male victim informed officer’s that he witnessed Manning holding what appeared to be a small knife during the assault. Manning then fled the area, running south on South Main Street.

Officer’s located Manning at her residence on Tripp Street, but she refused to open the door. Officer Richard Aguiar Jr. applied for a search warrant which was executed a short time later. Inside the apartment, officer’s located and arrested Manning. Officer’s also seized 60 bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl, and a blood stained sweater.

Manning was charged with assault & battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, and possession to distribute Class A drug.
