Fall River woman arrested after allegedly threatening to stab victim in road rage incident
Fall River police arrested a city woman after an incident on Thursday.
According to Detective John Robinson, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Uniform Division Officers Jared Mooney and Nicolas Hoar were dispatched to a reported ‘road rage’ incident. The victim, a 20 year old Acushnet resident, reported to the Officers that she was stopped on Division Street to pick up a friend when a female in a GMC Sport Utility Vehicle pulled up behind her and told her to get the ‘’f” off the road. When the victim pulled up to the stop sign at Bay and Division Streets, the female, Amanda Lee Linhares, 32, approached on foot with a knife in her hand saying she would stab the victim. The victim drove away and reported the incident to police.
With information provided by the victim, Officers were able to locate Linhares and take her into custody for pulling a knife out on another motorist.
