Fall River sees subtracted cases of COVID-19, one additional death

Fall River has seen a decrease in cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.

The City is down 6 cases from yesterday due to corrected addresses, according to the Mayor’s Office. This makes the total in Fall River increased to 1,582.

The death toll from the coronavirus in Fall River jumped to 106 as the City saw 1 more death reported.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health started reporting both confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases and deaths dating back to March 1, 2020.

Wednesday’s COVID-19 cases actually decreased due to address corrections. On Thursday, 4 cases were reported. Friday revealed 8 additional cases. On Saturday, 5 new cases were revealed. Sunday saw 5 new cases. Monday saw no new cases.

Today it was announced that the Fall River fireworks have been added to the long list of cancelled events this summer due to COVID-19.

Governor Charlie Baker signed an executive order on May 1, 2020 requiring face coverings in public places where social distancing is not possible. This order is effective May 6, 2020 and will remain in effect until rescinded or until the emergency is terminated
