Fall River sees low COVID-19 case count Tuesday, no new deaths
Fall River has seen more positive cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.
3 additional cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, according to the Mayor’s Office. This makes the total in Fall River at 1,540.
The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.
The death toll from the coronavirus in Fall River remains at 85.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health started Monday reporting both confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases and deaths dating back to March 1, 2020.
On Wednesday, 10 more cases of COVID-19 were announced. Thursday’s update revealed an increase of 39 cases, many of them in nursing homes, according to Mayor Coogan. Friday saw 10 additional cases. Saturday saw 6 new cases and Sunday saw 8. Monday had no reported cases of COVID-19

Governor Charlie Baker signed an executive order on May 1, 2020 requiring face coverings in public places where social distancing is not possible. This order is effective May 6, 2020 and will remain in effect until rescinded or until the emergency is terminated.
