Fall River sees double digit cases of COVID-19 after moving into the red

Fall River saw additional cases of COVID-19 in Thursday’s report.

According to the mayor’s office, 2,244 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, a 10 case increase.

The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.

The death toll from the coronavirus in Fall River remains at 135 today. The last fatality was released over two weeks ago.

Friday revealed 10 more cases. The report for Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday showed 37 cases of COVID-19. Wednesday’s report announced 9 more COVID-19 cases.

Yesterday it was announced that Fall River, Fairhaven and Berkley moved into the red zone as the Massachusetts COVID-19 positive test rate increased for a third straight day.
