Fall River sees COVID-19 deaths hit 154, almost 650 cases reported in the last week

Fall River saw more cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.

According to the Mayor’s Office, 4,148 total cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, a 73 case increase since yesterday.

The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.

Deaths in Fall River contributed to COVID-19 rose to 154. 6 additional fatalities were reported over the weekend, 2 more Tuesday, and 3 today.

On Friday, a then record 125 cases of the coronavirus were revealed. 252 cases were added from Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Tuesday revealed 41 cases. Wednesday saw a record 158 cases.

Coogan issued comments on Tuesday.

“We unfortunately saw a small outbreak at one nursing home which has contributed to our recent rise in fatalities. It is back under control and we commend our nursing homes for their work on managing this virus.”
