Fall River sees a week of single digit case reports of COVID-19 after Saturday’s report

Fall River has seen more positive cases of COVID-19 Saturday.

6 additional cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, according to the Mayor’s Office. This makes the total in Fall River stand at 1,556.

The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.

The death toll from the coronavirus in Fall River remains at 92 as the City does not receive fatalities on the weekend.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health started Monday reporting both confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases and deaths dating back to March 1, 2020.

Sunday saw 8 new cases in the city. Monday had no reported cases of COVID-19 and both Tuesday and Wednesday saw 3 more cases each day. Thursday’s report revealed 6 more cases and Friday saw one additional case.

Governor Charlie Baker signed an executive order on May 1, 2020 requiring face coverings in public places where social distancing is not possible. This order is effective May 6, 2020 and will remain in effect until rescinded or until the emergency is terminated.
