Fall River “Rooming House” property that was the location of a deadly stabbing, not an approved rooming house
A property in Fall River that was the scene of a deadly stabbing last week was reported as a rooming house but Fall River Reporter has learned that the property is not licensed as one.
44-year-old Joseph Bump was stabbed last Friday after a fight broke out between Bump and Pedro Fernando Orellano Alvarado at a house at 234 Tripp Street. The multi-family property has two 2-bedroom units and two 4-bedroom, 1 1/2 bath Townhouse style units and was sold in January of last year.
In a call to the Fall River Licensing Board this morning, Fall River Reporter learned that the property is not licensed as a rooming house. A second call to the office of the Building Inspector revealed that the property is not approved as a rooming house.
The property is owned by Green River Building LLC, previously known as Family Living LLC, registered out of Burlington, Massachusetts.
The resident agent for Green River Building is Anderson Registered Agents, also of Burlington. Fall River Reporter attempted to speak with a representative from Anderson, but no one answered our call. The name of the manager for Green River Building LLC is listed as Jean Ralph Prophil with a listed address of Las Vegas, Nevada. Fall River Reporter found Prophil on Facebook and sent a message with no response.
A call to Glen Hathaway, Building Inspector for the city of Fall River was not returned before this article was published.
