Fall River recreational marijuana facility passes final inspection, can open as early as Sunday
What Fall River area proponents of recreational marijuana have been waiting for is likely just a few days away.
Northeast Alternatives, at 999 William S. Canning Blvd, was given the green light by the Cannabis Control Commission on December 13th to cultivate, manufacture, and sell recreational marijuana once some procedural actions were complete. NEA has now received their approval certificate and can open as early as Sunday for recreational. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Commission issued the notices today for cultivation, product manufacturing, and retail and to open in 3 calendar days (Sunday, 1/20) or later.
NEA has been in business as a medical marijuana dispensary since June 30th. They were the first dispensary to open in the city.
The facility will be able to grow up to 5,000 square feet of marijuana canopy.
The dispensary will be the first recreational marijuana facility in Bristol County.
To purchase recreational marijuana from NEA, you will need to use an app called QLess or text NEA to (508) 687-5704. The process will help ease traffic at the facility. Once contacted, you will receive updates on when you should arrive at the store to buy. Details are expected on their website.
