Fall River Public Library begins gearing up for Halloween with fall events to start October
October is here, and activity is gearing up for Halloween at the library, along with planning fall events for all ages. Here’s what’s happening the week of October 3 – October 8, 2022.
Starting Monday morning, October 3, kids can pick up a Scarecrow Take-Home Craft in the Children’s Room. The take-home crafts will be available all week while supplies last.
It’s a new season for Preschool Storytime! Children ages 3 and up, along with their caregivers, are invited to join us in the Meeting Room across from the Children’s Room for weekly storytimes, every Tuesday at 11 am. Registration is not required. Another storytime, Play & Learn, is offered Wednesdays at 10 am. This group is offered through the Fall River School Department. To register your child, please contact Miss Shannon, sdunbar@fallriverschools.org.
Here are some of this week’s highlights:
MONDAY, 10/3: At 1 pm, join us in the Meeting Room for a matinee movie, Jurassic World: Dominion, an animated film starring Chris Pratt. Rated PG-13.
TUESDAY, 10/4: Knitting Club meets at 2 pm, and Teen Game Night at 6 pm.
WEDNESDAY, 10/5: A Vaccine Clinic for all ages is offered in the Nagle Room from 3-7 pm.
