Fall River Police make arrest in robbery of city business, charity

Fall River Police have made an arrest in a city robbery where money was stolen from a business and a local charity.

According to Sergeant J.T. Hoar, on Sunday December 1st Officer Chris Teves responded to Studio Vogue located at 598 Brayton Avenue to investigate a break-in into the business. Officer Teves spoke with the manager who reported that a large sum of cash was taken from the business which included donations for the Hearts for Hope, a city charity who helps the homeless. While investigating, it was also reported that a nearby business Monchy Cutz also was a victim of an attempted break.

Detectives followed up on the case and retrieved video surveillance from the business as well as surrounding areas. Through the help of the community and social media, a vehicle of interest was identified and located. Detectives Moses Pereira and Dwaine Cabeceiras, through their investigation, were able to connect David Friedman, 51, of Fall River to the crime. He was taken into custody on December 7, 2019 and charged with:

 Larceny from a Building
 Attempted B&E in the Nighttime to Commit a Felony
