Fall River Police looking for Thursday armed robbery suspect

Fall River Police are investigating a Thursday night armed robbery.

According to Sergeant J.T. Hoar, at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Thursday December 13, Fall River Police responded to the area of 400 North Underwood Street for a report of an Armed Robbery involving a firearm.

Once police arrived to the location, they spoke with the victim who stated that he was cleaning trash out from his motor vehicle which was parked in his driveway when he observed a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk nearby. The victim described the man to be a black male approximately 5’10” tall, with a stocky build and wearing dark clothing and a dark colored knit hat. The suspect approached the victim and said “give me all your money”. The victim initially told the suspect that he did not have any money at which time the suspect became enraged and displayed a semi-automatic handgun and yelled “I’m not kidding, give me all your money” at which time the victim pulled his wallet out and gave to the suspect. The suspect removed the cash totaling approximately $200.00 and then threw the wallet on the ground.

According to Police, the suspect fled northbound toward Weetamoe Street and got into what was described as a late model silver Honda Accord. The victim believed the vehicle was waiting for the suspect.
