Fall River police looking for suspect in theft

On Saturday, May 25, 2019, at approximately 12:00 PM, Fall River Police Department Uniform Division Officer Adam Katz was dispatched to 866 Pleasant Street, Price Rite Supermarket to meet with a female complainant who had her purse taken from her shopping cart from within the store.

Security surveillance shows a Caucasian woman with blond hair in her 50’s to 60’s wearing a black and white sleeveless shirt black pants and toeless sandals following the complainant in the store. At one point when the complainant turns her back, this unidentified female removes the purse from the cart and walks away putting the purse inside of her purse and leaving the store walking east in the parking lot.

The complainant reported that she had cash, a few credit cards, keys, and an Apple Pro I pad inside of her purse.

The identification of the woman is unknown at this time and if located she will be charged with ‘Larceny from the Person’.
