Fall River Police investigating fatal motorcycle crash
A serious crash occurred Saturday afternoon in the City of Fall River.
According to Captain Barden Castro, at approximately 4:57 p.m., Uniform Division officers responded to the 200 block of Rhode Island Ave. for reports of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Arriving on scene, officers found multiple people with serious injuries due to a crash involving a SUV and motorcycle.
The injured were transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
The motorcycle operator was declared deceased and the passenger is critically injured, according to police.
Fall River Police Accident Reconstruction, detectives assigned to the Major Crimes Division, and State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office were on scene assisting with the investigation.
