A male was reportedly stabbed and robbed early Saturday morning.

According to Sergeant J.T. Hoar, police responded to 227 Tuttle Street at approximately 2:45 a.m. and found a 68 year old victim with two stab wounds. One was to his left chest area and another was to the back of one of his legs.

After the incident, FRPD interviewed the victim to get details on the suspects. He provided a vague description of the suspects stating it was “three white guys with dark clothing.” The victim also stated that he was robbed of $3000. According to police, the victim has no connection to that address and does not live in that area. After officers canvassed the area and spoke with witnesses, they could not confirm the victim’s story. Officers did locate video surveillance footage and are awaiting retrieving it from the property owner. The victim’s vehicle was also towed because it was believed to contain further evidence.

At this time, the Fall River Police Department is considering this matter highly suspicious given the vague information provided by the victim and lack of witnesses who could confirm the victim’s account of what transpired.

The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and was reported as being in fair condition. The injuries were non life threatening.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact Officer Jason Fournier of the Uniform Division @ (508) 675-8511.
