Fall River Police are on the scene of a shooting that left a victim injured.
According to Deputy Chief Barden Castro, at approximately 9:00 p.m. this evening, Fall River Police responded to the 300 block of Fourth Street following reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a 21-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford for medical treatment where he remains in stable condition.
Officers and detectives remain on scene actively investigating the incident.
Castro stated that as the investigation is in its early stages, information is still developing, and no additional details are available for release at this time.
