Fall River Police investigating after officer responding to call collides with vehicle
Fall River Police are investigating after an officer responding to a call was involved in a collision with another vehicle.
According to Sergeant Moses Pereira, on Friday, at approximately 8:15 p.m., an officer operating a marked police cruiser with its emergency equipment activated (lights/siren) was responding to a report of an armed robbery where a firearm was involved.
At the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Bedford Street, a crash occurred between the police car and a Subaru.
The collision is being investigated by Uniform Division supervisors who will provide their findings to the Office of Professional Standards for review.
No word on any injuries.
Pereira stated that the investigation on the crash has not yet been completed.
