One person has died, and another arrested after a three-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on a Massachusetts highway.

According to Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 2:30 a.m. today, Massachusetts State Police responded to Route 93 south, prior to Exit 12, in Dorchester for an incident involving three vehicles. The operator of one of the cars was fatally struck by another vehicle after he exited his own car and was on foot on the highway.

The deceased victim is identified as 34-year-old Christian Yemga, of Quincy. Preliminary investigation by Troopers from the State Police-South Boston Barracks and State Police detectives indicates that Yemga was hit after exiting his Hyundai Sonata. He was determined to be deceased on scene.

The other vehicles involved in the incident were a Volkswagen Atlas operated by a 33-year-old woman carrying two passengers, and an Acura RSX operated by a 35-year-old man which carried one passenger.

Based on a preliminary investigation conducted by State Police, a basic sequence of events has been determined, while several circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.

The preliminary investigation has concluded that all three vehicles were involved in a motor vehicle crash or crashes; the specific details of the crash or crashes remain under investigation.

That preliminary investigation indicates Yemga was fatally struck by the Acura RSX during the chain of events while Yemga was out of his Sonata, on foot on the roadway.

Massachusetts State Police stated that during the investigation, Troopers determined that the operator of the Volkswagen, identified as 33-year-old Nikitia Wilkins, of Brockton was under the influence of alcohol. Troopers arrested Wilkins and charged her with OUI-alcohol, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer. Wilkins and both of her passengers declined medical attention at the scene.

The occupants of the Acura — the 35-year-operator and his passenger — sustained serious injuries in the incident and were transported to Boston Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing to determine whether charges are warranted in the death of Yemga. That investigation is being conducted by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the State Police Detective Unit for Suffolk County.

All southbound lanes of Route 93 between Exits 12 and 14 were closed for several hours to accommodate the rescue response and crash investigation. Northbound lanes at the crash scene were also briefly closed.

But she is a woman, and the cops and judges are really lenient on women criminals….she won’t be punished like a man would be for her crimes.
