Fall River Police investigating after multiple units broken into at storage facility
Fall River Police are investigating after it appears many units were broken into at local storage facility.
According to Detective Sergeant Moses Pereira, after 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, officers responded to Tower Mill Self Storage on Quarry Street regarding a break and entering.
Upon arrival, officers were advised that unauthorized access was gained to multiple units on the property. The Crime Scene Unit and Major Crimes Division responded to assist in the investigation.
At this time investigators are working with the management staff to determine what units are involved and contact the owners to determine what items, if any, may be missing from the units.
A woman renting a space at the storage company told Fall River Reporter that at approximately 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, her sister-in-law received a phone call that some of the storage units were broken into. Both women rent a storage unit. They were advised to go down to the units to check on them. When they arrived, most of the units appeared to have been broken into.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Adam Talbot of the Major Crimes Division at 508-324-2796. Anonymous tips can be provided by dialing 508-672-TIPS (8477).
