Police release name of 54-year-old Taunton woman killed in crash

NORFOLK — Chief Timothy Heinz reports that the Norfolk Police Department is releasing the identity of the victim in Friday morning’s fatal crash.

Pamela Stone, age 54, of Taunton, died as a result of injuries sustained during a crash that occurred on Friday, July 7.

At 10:31 a.m. on Friday, July 7, Norfolk Police responded to the area of the Needham and Main Streets intersection for reports of a crash. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a sedan that had crashed into a tree.

Stone was transported by the Norfolk Fire Department via ambulance to an area hospital, where she later died.

“On behalf of the Norfolk Police Department, we would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of Pamela Stone,” Chief Heinz said. “We wish them comfort in their time of mourning.”

According to an obituary, “Pam grew up as the adventurous daughter. She loved getting greasy at her Dad’s junk yard and was never afraid to drive anything. She was a loving mother to her 2 daughters and loved her grandchildren dearly.”

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, July 12th at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston, MA 02364 from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held on July 13th at 10am at Holy Family Church Duxbury MA.

The crash remains under investigation by the Norfolk Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit.
