Fall River Police investigating after man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in evening shooting

Fall River Police are investigating after a man was reportedly shot multiple times on Tuesday night.

According to Lieutenant Matthew Mendes, at just after 10:45 p.m., members of the Patrol Bureau responded to two separate calls for service involving lethal weapons in the vicinity of Cash and Jencks Streets. Officers initially responded to the 200 block of Jencks Street following a report of three males at that location, one of whom was reportedly in possession of a firearm.

Shortly thereafter, FRPD received another call for service regarding a shooting in a nearby parking lot between Cash Street and Jencks Street.

Upon arrival, responding officers located a male who appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered aid to the victim, who was subsequently transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
