Fall River Police investigating after man reports he was shot by masked men
Fall River Police are investigating after a man was reportedly shot Friday night.
According to Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 11:20 p.m., officers responded to the Emergency Department at Saint Anne’s hospital after a 26-year-old man walked in with a single gunshot wound to his right hand.
The victim, a New Bedford resident, explained to officers that he was seated in his parked vehicle speaking with an unidentified friend, when two unknown masked men approached and fired a single round at him striking him in the hand. He then drove himself to the hospital.
He was later transferred to a secondary medical facility for additional medical treatment. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
