Fall River Police investigating after man injured in evening shooting
Fall River Police are investigating a shooting where a man was injured on Monday evening.
According to Detective Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Department received a report that a male had sustained a gunshot wound in the area of Choate Street.
The male victim contacted police and stated that he had been shot and was in route to a local hospital for medical assistance.
The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries told investigators that he had been shot in the hip by an individual known to him. The identity of the suspect has yet to be confirmed.
The matter remains under investigation by members of the Major Crimes Division.
