On Saturday, 10 members of the Fall River Police Department laced up for the United We Move Trailfest – Battle of the Badges Team Competition.
The 7th Annual United We Move Trailfest included a ruck through the Fall River Bioreserve featuring police, fire, and EMS teams. Participants cover a marked course featuring roots, rocks, leaves, and possible mud or puddles, with views of North Watuppa Pond. Ruckers carry a 20-pound weighted backpack or vest. Team standings were determined by the cumulative finish times of each department’s first five finishers in the 10-Mile Ruck. Departments had to have at least three finishers to be eligible.
Fall River Police Lt. Joseph Galvao crossed the line first overall helping his team take home the Team Championship.
